After having another group review my film, (I showed my original and my edited version). They mentioned some points that needed to be fixed because of the weather problems. They had more positive feedback from the edited version that we reshot. I wanted to have feedback from both versions to have some comparisons and ideas. The second and edited version seemed to be more popular than the first. However, there were still more issues that needed to be addressed.  The part where I was running into the woods needed to be reshot. I thought it was cool to film this scene at dusk to give it a creepy appeal. Turns out that it was too dark to see anything, and my classmates said it was too boring. I decided that the afternoon was better for the lighting and special effects. The leaf scene with the real leaves was much better received. The original film with the store-bought fall leaves got a comedy response from one of my friends. He found it quite amusing to find fall foliage in Florida. Another comment made was the pile of leaves going up and down as my friend was trying not to laugh. What I thought sounded like spooky moaning my classmate knew was someone trying to hold in laughter. In the low shot where I was coming back with firewood, the cameras appeared to be dirty. We got lovely views of dirty camera lenses, not shots of my legs and feet. Overall, the film was positively received. My classmates were full of compliments about the plot and story line. Guess it wasn’t a total flop. See you next blog.
