Common types of camera angles that are used include POV, Handheld, and Dutch Angle. Common types of camera movements that are used include Panning, Tracking, and Zoom in/out. Common types of camera shots that are used include Reverse, Close Up, and Wide Shots. Common types of costumes that are used include dark colored clothes, flowing clothes, and long flowing clothes. Common types of lighting that are used include casting shadows, spotlighting, and silhouette. Common types of acting that are used include being unfearful, the screamer, and terrified victim. Common types of makeup that are used include blood, injuries, and grotesque prosthetics. Common types of props that are used include weapons, dolls and mannequins, and candles/dim lighting. Common types of sets that are used include cemeteries, haunted houses, and dark woods. Common types of editing that are used include cross cutting, split screen, and fading in/out. Common types of sounds that are used include dialogue, voice overs, and ambient sounds. Elements of the genre that I would use if this was my production would include ambient sounds, wide shots, shots tracking. Elements of the genre that do not appeal to me, and I would not use if this was my production would include too much fake blood, screaming, and obvious prosthetics.
